ESCD = extended system configuration data

Ali = Acer labratories incorporated

IDE HD Types:

Normal = disk smaller than 528 MByte

Large = disk larger than 528 MByte ( only works in ms-dos ) ( Almost no one should ever use this )

LBA = disk larger than 528 MByte ( standard type for large disks )

AUTO = system tries to figure it out on each boot

EEPROM = Electronically Eraseable Programmable Read-Only Memory

That is, ROM that you can reprogram using software.
